Slip & Falls
When you are injured while lawfully on someone else's property, the owner is liable for your injuries if the owner's negligence caused your injury. This is called premises liability. While premises liability includes slip/trip & fall situations, it is broader because it addresses any unsafe condition and resulting injury, whether caused by a fall or otherwise.
If you slip and fall in a store, within an apartment complex, or on a New York City sidewalk, you may be eligible for damages for injuries you sustain.
Some Slip and Fall Injuries include the following:
- Miscarriage in pregnancy;
- Shoulder, elbow, wrist and knee dislocations and fractures;
- Hip fractures and spinal cord injuries; and
- Head, neck and face injuries, including lacerations, and bruising.
